摘要
Seismic acquisition is never perfect, and sparsity and irregularity issues lead to suboptimal images when using standard seismic imaging schemes. The remedy of Least-Squares Migration has been topic of research since the early eighties, but the take-up in the industry has been limited so far. This paper describes the experiences obtained for a number of real data cases, which show that the method does deliver and is worth the extra cost and effort.
