Biologically Responsive Polymeric Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery

Abstract Responsive nanoparticles that release their drug cargo in accordance with a change in pH or oxidative stress are of significant clinical interest as this approach offers the opportunity to link drug delivery to a specific location or disease state. This research news article reviews the current state of this field by examining a series of published articles that highlight the novelty and benefits of using responsive polymeric particles to achieve functionally‐targeted drug delivery.
