Cross‐coupling reactions are important tools in the synthesis of complex molecules. Here we show that the Pd‐catalyzed cross‐coupling of aryl zinc pivalates with aryl thianthrenium salts offers a greener way to realize Negishi cross‐coupling reaction. Our results show that organozinc pivalates are air‐stable alternatives to classical organozinc halides and are suitable for mechanochemical reactions. Arene thianthrenium salts are alternative electrophilic reagents that are more compatible and selective than traditional organic halides. Moreover, the majority of thianthrene can be recovered after the cross‐coupling reaction.
