The Nidan Khun Borom : annotated translation and analysis

This thesis is divided into three parts: Part One provides an introduction to the chronicles as texts; Part Two is an annoted translation, compiled from 39 versions of the Lao chronicles; Part Three analyses important aspects of the texts, in particular what they reveal about such topics as kingship, administration, and relations with neighbouring kingdoms.
