摘要
In order to prepare potential adsorbents in adsorbent-based atmospheric water harvesting (AWH), adsorbents DUT-67-L were synthesized by compositing metal–organic framework DUT-67 and the highly hygroscopic salt LiCl. The microstructures of the adsorbents were characterized. The open adsorption, desorption performance, and cycling stability of adsorbents were tested. The experimental results indicated that the equilibrium adsorption amount of composite adsorbent DUT-67-L35 with 35% LiCl content reached 1.05226 g/g, which was 2.47 times higher than that of DUT-67 (0.42578 g/g) under 25 °C and 50% RH. DUT-67 and DUT-67-L showed faster desorption rates and lower desorption temperatures, which completed 90% desorption within 20–30 min at 100 °C. Meanwhile, composite adsorbent DUT-67-L35 with 35% LiCl content still showed good adsorption performance after 30 cycles of adsorption performance tests. In summary, the AWH based on DUT-67 and DUT-67-L is an effective approach to address water scarcity in arid regions.
