摘要
This paper presents the non-linear material response of systematically creased polymer membranes. A series of experiments were performed and the stress-strain relationship was observed for single and doubly-creased Kapton. Experiments of creased Kapton were performed by changing the gauge lengths and allowing the effect of crease interaction. Both global and localized material responses were observed during the experiments. A strategy for the numerical simulation of single creased Kapton was outlined. Numerical results were validated with experimental values.
