Lithium-mediated nitrogen electroreduction (Li-NRR) is promising to replace the traditional Haber-Bosch strategy. Recently, the Chorkendorff group has realized a record-high 300 h of continuous Li-NRR with high current-to-ammonia efficiency of ∼64% in chain ether-based electrolyte. This solvent engineering strategy is a remarkable step for developing an efficient and durable Li-NRR process.
