We review the development of clinical staging models of schizophrenia, which has developed as a logical extension of the Neuro-developmental theory of Schizophrenia. The staging approach, which involves assessing a disorder based on its severity, scope, progression, and characteristics, is gaining growing recognition in the fields of clinical psychology and psychiatry.
