Poor nutrition is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and certain types of cancer (1).Empowering consumers to make more informed food choices is a powerful way to help improve dietary patterns. Clinicians can play a central role in educating patients and encouraging improvements in their diet.
