Metal−Organic Hybrid Particles with Variable Sub-Stoichiometric Metal Contents

We report herein the fabrication of metal−organic hybrid particles with variable substoichiometric metal contents and particle diameters. The synthesis is enabled through coordination-induced, heat-assisted structural transformation of initially formed organic molecule particles. This novel type of particles could be further derivatized with molecules for potential target functional applications.
