General anesthesia combined with bilateral 2-level erector spinae plane block may accelerate postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery and rehabilitation process in patients undergoing posterior lumbar surgery: A randomized controlled trial

Bilateral 2-level erector spinae plane block can accelerate gastrointestinal function recovery and shorten the length of hospital stay in patients undergoing open posterior lumbar surgery. The potential mechanism may attribute to the opioids-sparing effects and anti-stress-related anti-inflammatory effects of bilateral 2-level erector spinae plane block.
