Pretargeting: Bridging the two worlds of radiopharmaceutical probes

Abstract The human trophoblast cell-surface antigen 2 (Trop-2) is expressed in a variety of malignant diseases. Using pretargeting methodology, a novel antibody against Trop-2 was radiolabeled and evaluated in a preclinical setting. This showed promising characteristics lending itself as potential basis for further clinical trials as imaging agent and potential theranostic.
