摘要
This chapter explores the recent progress in the circularly polarised luminescence-switching characteristics of organic/organometallic materials and their application in niche technologies. Bright and emission sign invertible circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) materials have received much research attention in recent years due to their potential applications in security technologies and sensing devices. It has been increasingly evident from contemporary literature that the sign and color of CPL emission can be changed by employing external stimuli like temperature, light irradiation, host–guest interaction, metal ions, pressure, solvents, etc. This chapter concludes by describing the challenges, future prospects, and possible fundamental mechanisms involved in sign-invertible circularly polarized luminescence materials.
