摘要
Microstructural changes during photodegradation of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) samples obtained after different ultra-violet (u.v.) wavelengths were studied by the combined use of 13C and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The samples were characterized by determining tacticity and the length of isotactic and syndiotactic indexes. The Behnisch model was extended to the u.v.-degradation of PVC and degradation parameters were also derived from tacticity data. It was found that the rate of dehydrochlorination γBr2k0 increased with an increase in dosage of u.v. radiation, u.v.-degradation studies were also carried out in the presence of different metallic stabilizers and the corresponding structural changes were monitored by NMR spectroscopy.
