Engineering thermoplastic is much in demand around the globe for various applications. Polycarbonate is the choice of society as a synthetic thermoplastic for a variety of applications. It belongs to the class of amorphous thermoplastic. It has unique moldable properties such as mechanical, thermal, optical, and electrical. It is highly useful for domestic and industrial applications in the domain of automotive, civil engineering and construction, consumer goods, medical devices, electrical and electronics, packaging, and optical media. In this chapter, we demonstrate the various processes and applications of different composites and blends of the polycarbonate system. We have consolidated reviews on polycarbonate-derived nanocomposites and blends exhibiting remarkable properties. We explore the dominating features over the conventional blends of polycarbonate in view of various properties corelated to upcoming applications.
