t fi Nanotechnology has great potential for revolutionizing our orld, including the solution of many problems in separation and urification engineering. Because the successful development nd application of nanotechnology in this field would advance ocial and economic development generally, those working in eparation and purification have demonstrated growing interest n the significant progress made so far in nanotechnology-based pplications as they prepare to lead new efforts in these areas. or that reason, a special journal issue focusing on applicaions of nanotechnology in separation and purification would enefit not only experienced researchers but newcomers to the eld as well. We have therefore launched this special issue, Application of nanotechnologies in separation and purificaion,” for the journal Separation and Purification Technology o meet this need.
