Fast cellulose hydrolysis to monosaccharide followed by in-situ hydrolysis of formed monosaccharide to other products over NaHSO4 was done under reflux conditions. Up to 99 % of monosaccharide (which was mainly glucose) was formed as a result of cellulose hydrolysis in one hour and a half at 120 °C in presence of DMF content LiCl. In-situ glucose to other products was deducted within three hours and a half from the start point of hydrolysis. Different solvents systems in presence of LiCl (1-butanol, Cyclohexanol, 1,4-Dioxane, and DMF) were examined to determine the best system and the results reveal that DMF and cyclohexanol continent LiCl2 was a very effective system. Different XSO4 salts were examined (Where X was: Na2, NaH, and (NH4)2) under the optimum conditions of NaHSO4 and the results found that the best and fast catalyst to cellulose hydrolysis to monosaccharide and then in-situ monosaccharide hydrolysis to other compounds as compared to other salts.
