摘要
This paper proposes a single-stage isolated matrix rectifier with hold-up time capability and wide input voltage range operation to fulfill the rigorous quality and reliability requirement for data center and telecom applications. By employing an auxiliary circuitry to charge the hold-up time capacitor and varying the transformer-turns-ratio to increase the gain of the converter, 20 ms holdup time is admissible. As a second benefit of varying transformer-turns-ratio, the attainable maximum gain of the converter enables wide input voltage range operation of matrix rectifier without degrading the efficiency and power density of main converter significantly. The simulation and experimental are conducted on 54 V output and 5 kW rated output power prototype to verify 20 ms hold-up time and wide input range operation of matrix rectifier.
