This scientific paper focuses on the utilization of fiberglass reinforcement in the manufacturing of additively manufactured polymeric specimens via the Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) process. The study explores the potential of fiberglass for enhancing the mechanical properties of FDM printed parts. The research investigates the effects of fiberglass reinforcement on the mechanical characteristics of FDM printed specimens. Fiberglass, known for its unique structural properties, is incorporated into the polymer matrix during the printing process. The study evaluates the influence of varying fiberglass content, fiber orientation, and processing parameters on the tensile strength of the resulting composite specimens. The mechanical properties of the fiberglass-reinforced FDM printed specimens are assessed through experimental testing, including tensile tests. The results are compared to those of unreinforced FDM printed specimens to identify the improvements achieved through the addition of glass fibers. The paper discusses the potential benefits of incorporating fiberglass into FDM printed parts.
