Abstract Leaf morphology. Leaves alternate, dorsiventral; margins lobed or toothed; simple and petiolate in Teti/la and often so in Francoa but in the latter the petiole having leaf-like wings of tissue developed at irregular intervals and to varying extents such that in the extreme the leaf might be described as compound (lyrate); sti ules absent.
