Amorphous Calcium Phosphates and Its Biomedical Application

Amorphous calcium phosphates have been widely applied in biomedical fields due to their ex- cellent bioactivity, high cell adhesion, adjustable biodegradation rate and good osteoconduction. Chem- ical composition, structure, morphology, phase transformation in the aqueous solution or during the process of heat treatment and biomedical application of amorphous calcium phosphates are reviewed in this paper.
