Free-standing Pt–Ni nanowires catalyst for H2 generation from hydrous hydrazine

Freestanding Pt₃Ni₂ nanowires exhibit a high reactivity and a 100% selectivity for the decomposition of N₂H₄·H₂O, thus challenging the notion of the indispensable role of supports for catalysts.
