Self-assembly of octachloroperylene diimide into 1D rods and 2D plates by manipulating the growth kinetics for waveguide applications

This communication describes the facile synthesis of Cl₈-PTCDI 1D rods and 2D plates by controlling the growth kinetics, as well as their shape dependent optical waveguides.
