Abstract Cancer patients suffer from both direct tumor and treatment related pain syndromes. For decades, the mainstay of pain treatment has included pharmacotherapies such as opioid pain medications. As interventional pain treatments have become available to help our suffering cancer patients, pharmacotherapies and interventional pain therapies have become entwined in relieving oncologic pain. This textbook focuses on oncologic pain interventional treatments that are available today. Algorithms are presented indicating recommendations for deciding which treatments to choose during a cancer patients pain course.
