摘要
The development of nanotechnology promotes the progress of analytical methods, especially gold nanomaterials, which have attracted much interest due to their unique optical properties. As they display different colors depending on their size, shape and state of aggregation, it provides excellent platforms for the development of colorimetric sensors in chemical and biological field. For better understanding the significant role of gold nanomaterials in modern science, it becomes increasing necessary to summarize a review on colorimetric application of gold nanomaterials in sensing. In this review, differently, it proceed from four main strategies, centers on different form of gold nanomaterials, and revolves around its development in the chemical and biological field with a wide range of applications. Finally, this review discusses the main disadvantages of the present and the promising prospects of gold nanomaterials as colorimetric sensors. It will be of significant benefit to further facilitate the design of novel colorimetric sensors.
