摘要
The current state and development of silicon carbide production and application technology are considered. Industrial methods for the production of silicon carbide are given: the Acheson method, the Lely method, the synthesis of silicon carbide – reduced silicon dioxide, the Kuhn method – the use of electric arc furnaces and the method for obtaining polycrystalline silicon carbide in electric furnaces. The production of industrial silicon is described: the sublimation method is from fumigated and sintered silicon dioxide with carbon. The spark plasma sintering method was used to obtain samples of silicon carbide based on waste from silicon production – microsilica. The microstructure of the resulting silicon carbide obtained by spark plasma sintering was studied. It can be seen that the microstructure of the resulting silicon carbide consists of rounded nanosized particles. Thus, prospects for studying the properties and application of the resulting composite material have been identified. The authors plan to study the mechanical properties of the resulting silicon carbide and their dependence on the concentration of the initial components according to the ternary phase diagram.
