Inert metal induces the modulation of unsaturated aldehyde absorption mode for enhanced selective hydrogenation

A strategy of optimizing the CAL adsorption mode induced by an inert metal is adopted to synthesize a series of Ir-based catalysts. The optimal catalyst IrCd 5 exhibits better activity and COL selectivity than that of the Ir counterpart.
