Single platinum atoms anchored on N-doped carbon materials composed of bipyridine as efficient hydrogen evolution electrocatalysts

Potassium tetrachloroplatinate among three platinum salts shows the most favorable binding energy to a N-doped carbon material composed of bipyridine, and enables the anchoring of Pt single atoms as efficient hydrogen evolution electrocatalysts.
