摘要
The development of a facile and efficient approach to prepare an epoxy coating with excellent anti-corrosion property is vital but has remained an enormous challenge. Herein, a novel epoxy coating with excellent anti-corrosion performance was successfully obtained by a one-pot method through grafting epoxidized hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene (EHTPB) into epoxy resin. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) demonstrated the low frequency impedance value of the EP/EHTPB coating maintained above 1010 Ω·cm2 during the 80 days of immersion in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution, which was about 103 times higher than that of pure epoxy coating. Surprisingly, the coating still exhibited excellent anti-corrosion performance after being immersed for 7 days in the harsh environment where 3 MPa pure oxygen and 3.5 wt% NaCl solution coexist.
