摘要
Abstract This article looks at the issues of informational privacy or data privacy. It discusses the problems brought about by the arrival of cybertechnology, which created many business opportunities but threatened personal privacy. It proposes a definition for information privacy and suggests that the restricted access/limited control theory best captures the concept of informational privacy. It argues that privacy is also a moral right and in protecting these rights, policy makers should be guided by principles of transparency and informed consent so that users can properly control access to their data.
