摘要
Physical defects which occur during massive and sheet metal forming are surveyed. The defects are treated descriptively but metal plasticity theory is employed to explain some of them. Defects arising during the processing of composite materials (e.g. fibre-reinforced materials, metal-matrix composites, ceramic-matrix composites and bonded materials) are also documented.
