Biological amnion in traumatic tympanic membrane perforation

Objective To study the therapeutic effect of biological amnion covering on traumatic tympanic membrane perforation under endoscope.Methods Twenty patients(20 ears) with traumatic tympanic membrane perforation were treated with biological amnion covering from external auditory canal under endoscope,then the biological amnion was fixed by medical biological glue.Both biological amnion and medical biological glue degraded exfoliated in 2～4 weeks.Results The closure rates of twenty case tympanic membrane perforation were 100%,there was no difference between all the patients' newborn tympanic membrane and health ear,all the patients' audile recovered basically.Conclusion Biological amnion is effective material mending the perforation of traumatic tympanic membrane.
