Current efforts and historical perspectives on classification of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies

Efforts to optimize the myositis classification criteria have been extensive in recent years and a new global interdisciplinary collaboration of clinicians is currently taking place based on the previous results with the aim of revising the 2017 EULAR/ACR classification criteria.
