摘要
The Gray-Scott model is a typical reaction-diffusion system, which describes the process of two chemicals transforming into each other and diffusing in space. Based on the Gray-Scott model, we explore the practical application of Gray-Scott model to form patterns on two-dimensional (2D) images and three-dimensional (3D) surfaces. The results present that Gray-Scott model can form uniform patterns and simulate the generation of zebra stripes on 2D domains. On the surfaces of 3D objects, we observe that the supply rate F affects the size of the formed patterns and the shapes of which are uniform. Based on Gray-Scott model, uniform patterns can be obtained on 3D surface, which is suitable for 3D hollow printing.
