Clinical evaluation of advanced gastrointestinal tract tumor treated by chemotherapy combined with Kanglaite injection

[Objective] To evaluate the clinical efficacy of chemotherapy combined with Kanglaite(KLT) injection for the treatment of advanced gastrointestinal tract tumor.[Methods] Fifty-seven cases of advanced gastrointestinal tract tumor were randomly divided into simple chemotherapy group(n=26) and chemotherapy combined with KLT injection group(n=31).Patients in chemotherapy group receivced standard DDP plus 5-Fu/CF project,while those in combined treatment group received standard project plus 100 milliliter of KLT injection,once a day for ten days.All cases were received two courses of treatment.[Results] Compared with simple chemotherapy group,group of chemotherapy combined with KLT injection had an advantage in karnofsky performance status,pain-control and toxic adverse reactions(P0.05),while without advantage in recent curative effect(P0.05).[Conclusion]Chemotherapy combined with KLT injection for the treatment of advanced gastrointestinal tract tumor can reduce pain,toxic adverse reactions and improve patients' situations.
