Wanning City has been hit by severe rainstorms in recent years, resulting in large areas of water accumulation in the main urban area, causing serious traffic disruptions and difficulties for citizens to travel, and causing huge losses to people's lives and property. In order to analyze the causes, composition, magnitude and other elements of urban rainstorm flood disasters, through conducting rainstorm surveys and flood surveys, combined with the existing rainfall and inland sea tide level data, a flood tide encounter analysis is carried out. The characteristics of flood and waterlogging disasters are summarized, and the causes of flood and waterlogging disasters are analyzed from the perspective of natural factors and human activities, providing a basis for flood control (tide) drainage engineering design and government departments to formulate corresponding flood control and disaster reduction policies.
