其它 | Laser diodes (LDs), without the “efficiency droop” phenomenon, can endure high power densities and deliver higher brightness. Consequently, laser-driven white light sources (blue LDs + laser phosphors) that show great potential for lighting applications. However, challenges such as white light nonuniformity and luminance saturation limit their optimization in color rendering index and luminous efficiency. In this study, we introduce silica (SiO2) aerogel as substrate, and employ Tb0.975Gd2.0Ce0.025Al5O12 (TAG: 0.025Ce3+, 2.0Gd3+) phosphor as the luminescence centers to fabricate TAG: 0.025Ce3+, 2.0Gd3+@SiO2 aerogel composites (TAGCG@AG), which can improve the thermal stability of luminescence and the light conversion efficiency.
