Equipment Intelligent Operation and Maintenance ABSTRACT Remanufacturing technology centered on additive manufacturing has drawn a lot of attention in aerospace, energy equipment, and other fields. However, due to the complex thermal history of the printing process, the heat-affected zone (HAZ) is formed between the weld and base material and is critical to the mechanical properties of the whole component. In this study, fatigue behavior in HAZ of low-carbon steel made by wire and arc additive manufactured (WAAM) is studied. The effects of the HAZ on the fatigue properties of materials are studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical metallography, and in-situ acoustic emission. The results show that the finer grain size of the HAZ is conducive to improving the fatigue resistance of the material. |
