Study of property and structure of silica-sol-acrylate hybrid miniemulsion

The hybird macromolecular latex particles of nano silica and polyacrylates were synthesized by miniemulsion polymerization.The mechanical performance difference of the hybrid emulsion polymer and the blending emulsion polymer was studied.When the amount of silica-sol was the same,the mechanical performance of hybrid emulsion polymer was better than that of blending emulsion polymer.In the TEM pictures,the silica of hybrid emulsion was embedded into the polyacrylate,the silica of blending emulsion dispersesd disorderly.In the SEM picture,the silica of hybrid emulsion dispersed evenly,the silica of blending emulsion agglomerated evidently.In the XPS chart,the Si content of blending emulsion was more than that of hybrid emulsion.
