AIM To study the effect of deproteinization of Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide on hypersensitivity.METHODS Finigen Trace DSQ GC-MS was used to assay the composition of Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide. The experiment of passive cutaneous anaphylaxis(PCA) and degranulation in peritoneal mast cells were applied to the observation on the mice's hypersensitivity.RESULTS Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide consisted of D-glucose,D-galactose and D-galacturonic acid.Polysaccharide without deproteinization and polysaccharide with deproteinization inhibited the degranulation of mast cells, but the latter had the greater activity.CONCLUSION Schisandra chinensis polysaccharide has an antagonistic effect on type-I-hypersensitivity,and polysaccharide without deproteinization has greater activity than polysaccharide with deproteinization.
