Ultrasonography diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma to cervical lymph nodes

[Objective] To investigate the value of ultrasonography(US) in diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma to cercical lymph nodes.[Methods] Fifty-eight patients with thyroid carcinoma to cervical lymph nodes were examined before thyroidectomy by US.The high-resolutionUS and the blood flow were observed,the hemodynamics parameters were measured and the diagnosis of US were compared with the pathology.[Results] It showed that the anteroposterior/transverse diameter ratio(A/T) 1.5 in cervical lymph nodes metastasized patients were higher(P0.001).And there were also obvious differences in the border,configuration,echo inside,and calcify(P0.05).The peak systolic velocity(PSV) and the resistance index(RI) of the cervical lymph nodes metastasized were higher(P0.05).[Conclution] There are clinical value in the diagnosis of cervical lymph nodes metastasized by ultrasonography.
