Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.Marine regional economy is a complex network system composed of many interconnected elements with certain causal relationships. The economic development of each region will be constrained and influenced by factors such as production, consumption, investment, and prices. Therefore, the economic system as a whole is presented as a dynamic and nonlinear complex system. Therefore, making predictions about it is a complicated and difficult task. In this work, 13 indicators from seven aspects were selected that have a relatively large overall economic effect and can reflect the economic indicators of economic development to establish a marine regional economic forecasting index system using a back propagation (BP) neural network construct. Finally, a comparative analysis between the predicted values and the actual values proves that the method can well reveal the relationship between the overall marine regional economic development and its influencing factors within an acceptable error range, thus proving that the model has a higher fit and prediction accuracy. Therefore, this kind of tool can be applied to economic forecast of a particular area and has a certain promotional value.
