Analysis on the Factors That Influence English Reading Comprehension Ability of the Students of Bijie Teachers Colleges

The article analyzes the questionnaire about Reading aim, reading strategy, cultural background and the checking of reading test. And then,it indicates that the students of Bijie Teachers College are not quite capable of reading. Furthermore, the article points out that the reason is that the students fail to understand the aim of reading course, use inefficient reading strategy and master poor cultural background knowledge, and that the reading materials used by the students are out of date and the reading test taken by the students are lack of scientific methods. Finally, it makes suggestions on how to solve the problems and help the students improve their reading comprehension ability.
