Study on the direct synthesis of polylactic acid

The advance in direct synthesis of polylactic acid is reviewed.Several methods directly synthesizing polylactic acid were summarized.Effects on molecular weight of polylactic acid produced by the direct melt/solution polycondensation were discussed.The mechanism of solid state polymerization of polylactic acid was explored.
