摘要
The kinetic implications of the assumptions made in deriving the remote control model for HDS-catalysts are discussed. Under the given assumptions, the experimentally observed catalytic synergetic effect could perhaps be explained by assuming steady state multiplicity for the activity of the catalyst. Depending upon the reaction conditions, this synergetic maximum for the activity for hydrogenolysis and hydrogenation could occur for any catalyst composition. The multiplicity would seriously complicate the estimation of the model parameters.
