摘要
To the Editors: Our manuscript, “Secular variation in US rotavirus disease rates and serotypes – Implications for assessing the rotavirus vaccination program,” was published in the November 2009 issue of The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal. Recently, as we were conducting routine updates to our rotavirus hospitalization rate programming code, we came upon a minor coding error in the 2007 rotavirus hospitalization rate calculation program. This coding error resulted in a slight overestimation of our 2007 rotavirus hospitalization rates. This did not affect the overall conclusions. The corrected 2007 rotavirus hospitalization rates are shown in Tables 1 and 2.TABLE 1: Corrected 2007 Rotavirus Hospitalizations Rates (with 95% Confidence Intervals) for NVSN Surveillance SitesTABLE 2: Corrected 2007 Rotavirus Hospitalizations Rates per 10,000 Children by Age in Months and by NVSN Surveillance SiteDaniel C.
