Studies on the effect of radiation sterilization technology to the content of catalpol in Prepared Rehmannia glutinosa

OBJECTIVE To study the content variation of catalpol in prepared Rehmannia glutinosa radiated by60Co-γ or not. METHODS The catalpol was identified and the content of catalpol was detected by HPLC in215nm: the mobile phase was a mixed liquid with acetonitrile-methanol-water( 10∶ 90∶ 1),the column temperature was30℃ and the flow rate was 1. 0mL · min-1. RESULTS The content of catalpol in all samples was between95. 07% ~ 98. 86% and the method was linear within 5 ~ 100μg·mL-1which means it can be used to test the content of catalpol in prepared Rehmannia glutinosa,CONCLUSION The content of catalpol in prepared Rehmannia glutinosa radiated by60Co-γ is not significant decline,so it is suitable to sterilization for prepared Rehmannia glutinosa by the60Co-γ radiation sterilization technology.
