Brief Discussions on Application of Small-diameter Casing in Wells Where Casing Leakage Occurs

Jianghan Oilfield belongs is an oilfield in inland salt lake basin,thus the formation water salinity is extremely high,which is a main reason why serious casing corrosion occurs in oil and water wells.To prolong the life length of oil and water wells,the serious casing corrosion wells can be put back on production through tripping integral joint casing with diameter Φ101.6mm into the wells with damaged casings,combined with delay cementing and completion techniques.A series of the technical difficulties of production control,resulted from damaged casings,have been resolved thoroughly by application of this method in three wells,which even makes dead well reactivate and obtains remarkable economic benefit,therefore this method is worth popularizing in scale.
