Effects of different kinds of potassium fertilizers and different application patterns on yield and quality of Sankang 1, a virus-free sweet potato variety.

Sankang 1,a virus-free sweet potato variety,was applied with different kinds of potassium fertilizers and different application patterns to study effects on its yield and quality.The results showed that applying potassium could increase its leaf number,vine length,branch number proportion of big/middle size and tuber yield,improve its crude fiber content and decrease its starch content.The different kinds of potassium fertilizers had different effect on Sankang 1,and the leaf number,vine length,branch number proportion of big/middle size and tuber yield of Sankang 1 applied with potassium chloride were higher than those applied with potassium sulfate but the protein crude fiber and total sugar content of Sankang 1 applied with potassium sulfate were higher than those applied with potassium chloride.The field characters and quality indexes of Sankang1 applied with total potassium sulfate as the base manure were obviously better than those applied with total potassium sulfate by three application times.
