Religiosity : Drug or Poison of Mental Health?

This study analyzed the religiosity of Koreans in terms of their relationship to mental health amid the times of secularization and individualization. To this end, this study examined the positive benefits(strength) and negative hazards(limitations) of religiosity about human mental health. As a result, a path model based on the stress vulnerability model was derived in order to identify religious and mental health as a holistic psychological process in which various variables interact and to comprehensively understand the relationship between religiosity and mental health. This theoretical inquiry suggested the function of religiosity for the promotion of mental health by confirming the related behavior variables centered on the religiosity and mental health of Korean religious people.
